 A very big Apple - Iffy
A surge in overall sales and profits at Apple.

According to a report on the radio, the company is now bigger than Microsoft, and second to Exxon-Mobil as America's largest corporation.

Not sure if that's right, but Apple is certainly now a major, mainstream player, rather than the bunch of Californian hippy-geeks they used to be.

Most of the profits are driven by the gadgets, rather than lap tops and desk tops.
