Lad is job hunting.
He's been sent an offer from a "reputable company" where the company has offered to send him a payment of £5,000 to buy "work from home" IT equipment.
The equipment must be purchased from their preferred supplier.
Of course the payment will come from the lad's account. The goods will never arrive and the payment from the company will "bounce", leaving the lad short of £5,000.
He's luckily realised that this was too good to be true and the "reputable company" is trading on the name of a real company.
