Explosives Found Locally - Not Terror Related - zippy
Last night a property on the seafront was raided by the police and explosive chemicals were found and the Bomb Squad have been dealing with the incident.

That section of the seafront has been closed since and is likely to remain closed until tomorrow. Almost 200 people have been evacuated.

The property is very near the start of this years half marathon which is on Sunday and organisers are saying the route may have to be changed.

Anyone making explosives or having chemicals that make explosives without a damn good reason should be considered a terrorist.

The Bomb Squad have even had the "Robot" out. If it were just chemicals, I doubt that would be needed?

I'm not that knowledgeable on it but could it be there to search for completed product?

Or maybe they use these events partly as real-world training opportunities.

Goodness knows what they found. Initial reports were nearly 200 were evacuated.

Other reports from the police confirm that it is not a drugs lab.

500 canisters of "an unknown" substance have been found.

It's so unknown that the good old local police have put a skip on the seafront and are burning the contents in the skip! Great. Who knows impact that will have.

The half marathon has been cancelled as well. Considered a build up to the London Marathon. But there is no risk and it's not terror related.

Well if its not dangerous why not take them to the the local dump (1.5miles along the same road) and burn them there - and allow the thousands to enjoy the marathon?
