Lhasa is barking all the time at the moment and despite being a small dog, the bark is very loud and annoying - no - infuriating!
She seems to be healthy enough.
I do wonder if it's related to the wild animals around at the moment - there are some huge foxes in the area and of course squirrels and badgers which she can probably smell.
Any ideas on stopping the barking, short of murdering her! ;-D
I guess trying a barking collar might be an option, but I am not sure these are ethical? If I did go down this route it would be one with a scent canister or buzz - not a nasty shock one.
Thoughts please?

Take her for a long walk so she's knackered?
That's my son's solution when his Spaniel is being a PITA.
She also in the dog house for dobbing in his pub visits. His OH took the dog round the block and was lead straight into the Farmer's Arms!!

LOL!!!
So many interpretations to that :-D

Need more body language and barking history info to diagnose. Could be anything from boredom to pain, dementia ghosts in the house to wild animals outside.

Oh and its spectacularly easy for a dog to manipulate you and achieve stuff it wants by being annoying,

Son's pooch is a master (mistress?) at that.

I'm putting my money on ghosts given the issues we're having in the house and / or dementia given she's almost 13.
She doesn't seem to be suffering in any noticeable way.
She gets enough exercise - walkies.
She stands firmly when barking.

Who or what is the dog looking at when it barks, walk towards it when it barks see what it does,

Thanks - I will do when she sets off again. She's gone out with Mrs Z at the mo.
