John Prescott - Dead at 86 - Terry

Politically he and I would be miles apart - but he was a rarity today - decent, honest, effective, straight talking.

It it be great if there were more today who would at least aspire to his character and quality.

Saddened by his departure - particularly as I understand he had been suffering from dementia - a foul and unfitting end for one who made so much difference during his prime.
