My son asks if Prof McGonagall was run over while she was a cat....

Some people are unkindly dismissing her role in HP and yet she was probably seen by more people in the world through these films - I actually felt sad when I heard the news at 6.

There are a few gems that she is in.
I know Mrs Z really liked her in Downton - not my cup of tea.
I enjoyed her in The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie and a small gem of a film - Keeping Mum.
Both have made me want to dig out others that she's been in but I haven't had the time as yet.
RIP.

She was without doubt an exceptional actress, in most types of roles she was in. In downton, she had some absolutely classic put downs - ok they were scripted, but the delivery made them killer barbs. Sadly missed.
