It's the little things - zippy
Miss Z had a rather stressful shift today.

All made good by a very young patient who couldn't be seen by pediatrics due to capacity issues.

Came in via A&E, assessed and dangerous appendix removed by Miss Z and team.

When well and ready to leave said youngster made sure she said thank you to every member of staff on the ward, from surgeon to cleaners.

Made Miss Z's (and lots of others' day).

Miss Z has a new member of staff on her team. A doctor from Nigeria. She is very impressed, as he is very efficient and keen. Apparently nearly everything at home was triage based and they couldn't afford to waste material, medicine or time so everything is very efficient. Hugely respectful as well apparently, unlike some of the F1's from the UK.

Ought to add, the youngster wasn't in an out in a day - which on re-reading my post - is what it seems like.
