Sooo, I buys a new BBQ, which has to be assembled. Included in the kit of parts is a double ended drive bit. A Robertson #3 / #2.
Now I have experienced lots of drive types, but Never a "Robertson". Turns out is a square head, invented by a canadian. Figures, its a canadian BBQ.

I know there's a difference between philips and pozidrive, but only recently found out there's also JIS (Japanese Industrial Standard). Perhaps because I've never owned a Suzuki?

Certainly on the Hondas I tinkered with in the 70's 80's. Its a sharper (acute) angled philips style.

My 72 year old motor car uses both Oddie nuts and Thackray washers.
You try finding some now. I asked in my local old fashioned engineers emporium, J Povoas & Sons , they laughed at me. Next time I went in, the aged assistant produced a box of the latter. Sadly, they were the wrong size and all rusted !
I can still get BSF nuts and bolts locally, although being Chinese, anything that needs torquing up is fitted with the original British made kit.

Doesn't Bill complain?

More to the point, was I the only one who didn’t know Ted was Chinese?
