Sky demanded £1300 per month from the Troll Inn in Dundee
The landlord cancelled his contract

Punters brought in a TV Screen, plugged it in & then connected their phone and used their own SKY Go application

Sky took the landlord to court and lost their claim for damages.
It was the customer using their Sky subscription and their own screen.

The court said the screen could only be watched by friends round a table and not on a large screen, on a wall in the pub.

Final Score

Troll Inn 1 - 0 Sky

Slight tangent - SKYBET

A mate tells me he spends about £10 a week on Skybet and usually loses.

A few months back he won a couple of thousand on a few bets.

When he tried to withdraw the money, they put so many obstacles in his way including asking for copies of bank statements for everyone that paid in to his account. As he's a sole trader odd job man, he has dozens of customers paying to his account. There is no chance of getting them to provide their statements as well.

His winning have been confiscated and his account closed.
