 Sick Childrens Trust - zippy

If anyone is donating to charity, could I ask you to consider the Sick Childrens Trust please.

My very close friend's 7 year old was rushed, at very short notice to GOSH for a transplant and this charity helped with accommodation for them which they could not have afforded otherwise.

It was known that an operation was needed but was expected to be in several years time.

The urgent need for the transplant came about very quickly due to a sudden and unexpected deterioration and everyone was in shock.

Without going in to detail, the operation has only ever been carried out a few times before and is a "miracle of modern medicine".

The lad was in hospital for 7 weeks, some of which was "touch and go" and is now home and making fantastic progress with the operation being a success.

The Sick Childrens Trust allowed his parents to be by his side 24/7, taking shifts and the nurses and doctors at GOSH have said that recovery can take so much longer if loving parents are not there.

Thank you.
