I paint my fence with the standard Ronseal red cedar fence paint every spring.
Very quickly I get patches of green and am pretty sure, as they are at the pavement end of the fence, that it is probably all the dogs from the estate cocking their legs. And then of course my own also does it to leave his scent over theirs... and so it goes on...
I am sure in the past I tried pressure washing this patch and it basically just lifted the green and the red paint off!
Anyone any ideas or just something I will always need to live with?

paint it forest green, not red cedar. problem over.
(its algae on your fence BTW - dog wee tends to kill it)

ha ha could be a good solution!
Or how do I kill the algae?
