Jet 2 LS896 transmitted a mayday coming into MAN, now on the ground surrounded by Fire 1 & 2


Edit, Ranger 1 appears to sweeping the runway for FOD

Edit Fire Chief Vehicle also on scene

Years ago we'd just settled into our seats when the pilot went into his spiel -

"We'd like to welcome everybody on board this flight today to"...(pause)...(whisper)..."Where are we going?..."

...last time I flew Sleazyjet from Munich to MMAN, they'd locked the terminal up before we arrived and had to wait for someone to open it up and turn the lights on!

(We were delayed; but not by vey much).
