My LG TV is llnked via its ARC HDMI to a Panasonic Sound Bar - works well as advertised, until the other day when the soundbar shut down and the sound resorted to the not so bad TV speakers. Cue some investigation. Cable (check) update TV software (check) other HDMI sockets, same problem (worked for a while then cut off). No updates for the reasonably new sound bar. Reset Soundbar (check), Reset TV (check)....still the same problem. Next steps...get the BOSE soundbar (that won't fit on the old school TV stand), whilst in the man-cave got a spare HDMI lead and swapped them out. Now 24 hours later works well. Wished I'd have thought of that first....
