I sat directly behind him and his then wife on a plane from Ibiza about 30 years ago.

Disappointingly he didn’t offer the pilot any navigation advice or chat up the stewardesses.

I was once on a plane with Tony Blackburn. SWMBO asked why I was looking out the window so intently before we took off. I replied " It's just started raining and I'm looking at the flowers in the rain".
