The pic of him smoking 4 cigs at once reminds me of my schoolmate's trick.

Take a coke can, poke 20 holes in it with a biro, stick a pack of cigs in the holes so it looks like a hedgehog, light them all, and smoke them all via the top of the can.

I think he's still alive.

Indeed - just looked back on the ONS stats: a pack of 20 "king size, filter tips" was ~£1.50 back in 1988.
