Loved him in Cracker. Must dig that series out and watch it again.
Story about Robbie.
He lived in Killearn just outside Glasgow. Son played rugby together with my friend’s son. Think his son was young at the time. Anyway playing one game, one of the opposition players suddenly realised “Hagrid” was standing on the touchline watching them. All the opposition players just ran to him in the middle of the game to give him a big hug!

I bet that looked a picture!

Loved him in the comedy film Nun's on the Run, also staring Eric Idle.

I remember seeing Robbie is some comedy shows in the 80s and enjoying his humour and then being astounded by his transformation in to Cracker!
And of course generations will remember him as Hagrid.
Such a shame!

I’m 8 years younger than that. Stuff like this makes you remember not to waste any time.

Robbie was very overweight, unfit and had drink and drugs problems.
Not sure you qualify on any of those criteria. Bad taste is not going to kill you.
