Does anyone here have any knowledge on spray on expanding foam roof insulation, usually applied to the undersid of the roof. Seems a good idea but i've seen a lot of dodgy reports.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Do not consider it, its been largely discredited, causing damp issues between insulation and roof timbers, and chemical reactions with fixings.

I cannot find it now but didn't we cover this on another thread in the last month or so?

A consumer programme on BBC radio a while back highlighted two serious issues: one, that properties with spray foam roof insulation were difficult if not impossible to get a mortgage for; two, the stuff is very expensive to remove.
That is apart from the damage the foam actually causes.

I think the spray on foam idea is a nono
