Have any of you knowledgeable folk an idea of the cost per cubic metre to move an apartment's worth full of furniture etc. from the Costa del Sol (say Marbella) to the Midlands (UK) and the cost of storage once there.
Proper removers - not part load fillers-up!

Not sure of a cost per cubic metre, but I know I've seen more than one pantechnicon on my travels with signwriting showing they specialise in UK-Costa del Sol removals. Might have been one of these (quick google results):
www.union-jack-removals.co.uk/index.htm
www.universalremovals.com/Removals-to-Spain.html
For this kind of job I would place a lot of value on word-of-mouth recommendations, find out from the locals who they used.

...they specialise in UK-Costa del Sol removals...
Yeah, hotly pursued by the flying squad.

Have you sold your pad then Landsker?
I paid £1 per kg to transport from London to Warsaw (on the record)
Off the record, I bunged the driver a couple of hundred quid to take all the rest and drop off at my place before he drove to his depot. Saved a small fortune, and is common practice for Poles, perhaps it is for Spaniards too...?

No, not sold - just shattered by the latest valuation - about 100,000€ less than it stands us in!
Spanish agent's fees are 5% +VAT, Local sales tax 650€ this year - may be four times that next year after a local property revaluation (rateable value)equivalent), + lawyer's fees of 1% + VAT - if we use one.
Altogether, around 10% of the sales price is dead & gone, so the "do we take our furniture" is an important decision.

We used these peops when we moved back from Tenerife ~

They even brought back my heavy Salter weight lifting gear and bicycles - excellent service!
I don't envy you trying to flog an apartamento in Spain @ the mo tho, Tenerife prices are still holding up well (so far)
I always do a property search there with my tried & trusted estate agent, come the rain ~
