The government has ruled out a Bank Holiday if England beat Germany

Why should we get a day off just cos someone wins at football? I get the feeling we're becoming a workshy nation on social media!

As an aside, Sir Keir (a Bank Holiday supporter) said "The whole country will be roaring on the Lionesses in the final on Sunday," he said.

Later in the article a govt spokesperson said ""The whole country will be roaring them on"

I guess their speechwriters all trained as headline writers on the tabloids.
