A Leopard Can't Change Its Spots EVRI / HERMES - zippy
Got an email from EVRI today re a delivery that due. Apparently they have now tried to deliver 3 times but have failed. They are now returning the package to the vendor.

I have no idea what the package is because I am expecting a few. The worst case is that the package contains a "brides maid" dress - no not for me, from the USA needed for a wedding in Europe, but Evri's communication does not give the senders details.

Evri say that they will now return the parcel to the sender - not happy if it goes back to the USA.

There has been no delivery today and I have run through the CCTV which confirms it. The tracking info provides no other delivery attempts.

I suspect that they are telling fibs about the delivery / deliveries.

It may well be a scam, have you checked the full details of the sender?

Yes it's from EVRI, the email contains the correct name and postcode and EVRI's site accessed independently.

Thanks - but it's a bot with very little options - go through tracking again with no options, report damage to property or technical issues (it's not a smart bot).

I will give them a call first thing tomorrow (office hours 0800 to 1600).

Opening a book on how long they will take to answer!....

Oh. Some of the bots will eventually put you onto a human - can be triggered sometimes but I can't recall how.

Good luck!

Sometimes typing "talk to a human" works with bots.

..Zippy, by happenstance, someone on another forum I frequent was complaning about them only today.

He could only find an 0900 contact number (premium rate) for customer services.

Further research threw up 0330 808 5456 as an alternative, and it worked.

Standard local call charge (which may, of course, be included free in any call package you have).

Thanks T&E, yes the 0900 number had been found and dialled by Mrs Z twice at £6 per connection - I hadn't noticed that she had done it or I would have stopped her.

Absolutely no luck getting to a human either by phone or chat!

It's terrible how a company can blatantly lie and effectively get away with it.

Maybe they should change their name (again!) to NEVERI.
