Vangelis the composer of the them from Chariots of Fire and many other film scores has died. Truly great musician.

People that (can) compose music amaze me!

The music to Chariots of Fire is undoubtedly a classic, though I also liked his pop creations with Jon as in Jon & Vangelis like "I'll Find My Way Home"

Albedo 0.39 was my first hearing of Vangelis, still have the vinyl LP....always pronounced (mostly in my head) with the "g" sounding like a "j"...it is (according to the BBC) pronounced as the "g" in gate...one lives and learns.
