Not feeling well disposed to squirrels at the moment. I put 300 crocus bulbs in a few months back and they've eaten the lot I think. They eat the bulbs and after biting off the newly shooting green tips which they discard.

I'll keep to narcissi nest year. They don't touch those as they are poisonous to squirrels and indeed humans for that matter.
