Fascinating - yes.
But it seems like a more science based rotation of crops focussing on carbon rather than nitrogen - the traditional reason for crop rotation.
It also sounds like a con trick in action - unless the soil has an infinite capacity to store carbon, at some point in the future soil carbon will reach an equilibrium and absorb no more.
A little like planting trees to offset CO2 -eventually (30-200 years) trees die or are harvested, rot or burnt as an "eco-fuel". It simply delays release - it doesn't fix the problem.
