 HMRC delays - legacylad
Each tax year I draw down the max possible from my private pension, up to the tax free allowance. Not much left now as I’ve been doing it for a decade, but it’s lasted quite well.

A strange amount of tax is always deducted which I reclaim online using a P55 ( I think).

The timescale for repayment is now long overdue...annoying really, and having logged into my Govt Gateway account there’s no indication as to when.
Patience is a virtue

They are quick enough to fine and charge you interest should you be late.

That’s unusual in my experience - tax refunds have always been paid within a matter of days from the submission of a return for me. That is from a self assessment tax return though, not a P55.

I've had a couple of "p55" payments. The first went well, the second was taking forever so I called them and it was done quickly.

Give 'em a call...
