I know the CO2 that is used in the food industry is a by-product of fertiliser production but it seems to me to be slightly ironic that on the one hand we are trying to cut our CO2 outputs and yet we are short of usable CO2 and restarting a process just to make more CO2!
Hopefully the production of gaseous CO2 is ok as we use a load in the NHS and it would hit operations big time if it was in short supply.
