One hell of a cat..... - No FM2R
A mountain lion attack in Santa Monica, Ca.

And here is the same cat 18 months and 9,000 miles ago, when it was still called a puma, in Santiago, Chile.

Exactly.

On the other hand, this is a rather excellent 5 minutes from the BBC on Vultures.

...puma, mountain lion; both the same....

(as are your links, so it's difficult to determine your point) ;-)

...so, it's the picture, which the BBC prominently tags as a "library picture".

(I wouldn't be surprised if the Chilean link used the same source).

It didn't.

The Chilean story was about a Puma in Chile and the picture was said Puma in Chile. The BBC story was about a mountain lion in Santa Monica and the picture was an unconnected puma in Chile.

The BBC irritates me.

The problem lies with Getty Images though. In their database of "mountain lion" images, there is also the Puma photo. At least the BBC state that the photo is not one of the beast in question.

It's almost if someone has a fixation with the BBC.

Pot, kettle, black and all that.

;-)

Oh do not misunderstand, I *absolutely* have a fixation about the BBC, almost twitch-inducing. Certainly sufficient to induce intolerant behaviour in all those around me.

I have encountered them in a number of different ways and they make me cry.

But there is no conspiracy. There is no plan to persecute me or treat me unfairly and I represent no higher purpose. I invoke no righteousness nor call upon immoral wrongs to be put right.

They're just crap and don't do their job the way I want it done.

Unless that represents the way you feel about authority then I don't get the pot/kettle s***e.
