I was researching another matter and came across this article about Hugh Thompson Jr. a helicopter pilot in the Vietnam War, who intervened in the My Lai Massacre.

Horrified, but not surprised to read that some tried to have him court martialled for doing the right thing and that he received abuse for it.

I think I heard about him 10 years ago watching some documentary about Vietnam. One of the many scars of that war.

One of the guys that I admire too.I met and worked with several ex Vietnam helicopter pilots in my career and they were generally good men.

It takes moral courage to stand up for what you perceive as doing the right thing in any walk of life..
