Sorry, I can't find the right thread....

Saw "The Gentlemen" tonight. If you like Guy Ritchie, and I do, then it was absolutely great. Very Guy Ritchie, and the language is as bad as language can get.

But still a great film.

Calm my fears, is it just another Lock Stock like all his last 15 films have been?

It's certainly of the same ilk, but it's different enough to be worth it IMO. But if you haven't enjoyed the others then you probably won't enjoy this one.

Though if nothing else it is final proof that Hugh Grant actually IS a very good actor.

The Gentlemen

Got hold of a copy of it at last, and watched it this evening, A bit rambling in places, but pretty good, worth a watch, with its Quentin Tarantino-esq use of stepping backwards and forwards in time, and loved the homage to that magnificent ending in The Long Good Friday,

Mrs Fullchat is a bit sensitive to inappropriate language (despite a full stretch in the job). She enjoyed it and found that the language (plenty of use of the C word) just suited it. I have to agree with that observation.

See above
Plenty of use of the C word. Isn’t that in vogue at the moment?
