I also read something interesting recently, for all you Plane fanatics, for a small fee you can now have your name inscribed under the wing of the the last flying Vulcan!
The last vulcan that flew, saying the last flying vulcan sounds like it still is.
There's a Vulcan up for sale, the former 'Vulcan to the sky club' looks like they've run out of money. If it's not sold it's going for scrap at the end of this month.

HAve you got a link for that BT. Not doubting but I'm surprised that if XH558 is up for sale there's not been more publicity.
There are though several other Vulcans on various aerodromes is various states of repair.
>> Sorry, saw it was 'Vulcan to the sky club' and assumed.......................
>> It's actually Marham's Victor XH673:
Phew.
Isn't Marham still an active RAF base and the Victor is its gate sentinel?
Last time I was there they had a Canberra as well.
A Tornado as well I think.
Yes it's still an raf station, the station gate guardian is a tornado, the victor is opposite SHQ. Its been a case of trying to get rid of the victor for some time, at least 10 years. It's in poor condition. Yes the canberra is there still just past 1 hanger.
I think some family own it, not the MoD? I'm surprised it's still there it's been looking shabby for some time.
....Post-Brexit it will return unfettered to the skies to seek former glory...
I found this about a year ago. It's a fascinating tale.
Mark Felton Productions have some great films.
Having watched the original link, it led me to further MF films.
Well worth watching, I remember little of what is documented. Not sure how much was released at the time?
