We have had a couple of heavy frost days. I have decking out my back directly beside my rear extension.
Today at around 2 pm I noticed that although the decking was still white with frost, at each of the joins where decking boards meet end to end, it looked like these had defrosted ie could see the wood rather than white.
However it was only at these end to end joins. Where there is a small gap between the boards liting in parallel, there was no sign of this.
Why would this be? These end bits obviously meet over a joist underneath - does that have somethng to do with it?
