Sometimes the word "t***" is the only applicable word.

This sad story reminds me that I was equally wet when I proposed.
Not very romantic because it was in the shower....TMI I know, but I had asked her Father for permission ( to marry her, not scrub her back)
|
How very sad and unfortunate, particularly given the circumstances.
|
I detest all these stories of attention-seeking kernob-heads posting their 'wacky' (tedious) marriage proposals online.
I do enjoy a good Darwin Award, though, so hats off to this guy. Did make me giggle.

What could possibly have gone wrong?

....she could have said "yes"......

Reminds me. Few years ago I was walking the dog to what is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque and iconic spots in Wales. There were a young couple there looking all romantic - my eyes were drawn to the skies on hearing a light aircraft....the 'plane was towing a banner with "Marry Me"written on it....I may have spoilt the moment !
|
"I was walking the dog " - you mean dogging??????
|
Did she say "Beh"...?
;-)

I dislike this modern idea that a moment can only be special with some over the top dramatics.
What is wrong with a moment being special because of what it means?
I think this is going to be one of my crabby weeks.

I'm with No FM2R. My daughters would love to know where I proposed. SWMBO and I will never disclose it!
|

Presumably it involved a wee* stick with two blue lines on it?
*pun intended!
|
I can see that making a bit of effort to make things romantic, making the moment special is nice, but making a spectacle of yourself with attention seeking rubbish surely defeats the whole thing, most women think "knobhead" surely?

May you rot in hell for suggesting that :).
Nope, and that didn't happen for several years, despite her mum's hopes! They thought we'd never get wed.
