Why do cars always have to "plough" into whatever they hit?
Should be an automatic disciplinary for the lazy journalist.

NASTY one locally.
Rugby player - Bees Roux - comes out of pub at 1am, ALLEGEDLY bladdered.
The story is that he was stopped for D&D. Copper drives player home, and on the way ALLEGEDLY solicits bribe. Player goes ape, and ends up hammering copper's head on tarmac until he dies.
Much ado about the fact that cop ALLEGEDLY had charges for similar charges against him.
Also, player's credit card was ALLEGEDLY used half hour after his eventual arrest (2:30am) at local McD's
Has polarised society here - corrup black cop v hi-profile rugby player.
The national coach, who is a looose-cannon of note looks set to be fired after he came out '100% behind Bees'.
Long horrid and complicated story.
But that's the gist of it.

"Officers were driving the car away - against force policy - when it crashed through two gardens. One was injured."
With some water and TLC I'm sure the injured garden will make a full recovery.

It's in "The Daily Telegraph", too:

...after crashing a high-performance car they had seized from a suspected drink-driver...
Last time I was stopped for drink driving, I was arrested and taken to the police station where I passed the CAMIC machine.
At the roadside, I asked about leaving my car in the street late at night.
The police officers couldn't care less - 'that's your problem mate'.
And what was my car neither of them wanted to drive?
A Ford Fiesta.
One of the two coppers in the linked story couldn't wait to get behind the wheel of a Lancer.
He is stupid for driving it, and even more stupid for crashing it.
Some coppers really haven't got the brains with which they were born.

So was this an Evo as opposed to a bog standard Lancer which I wouldn't realy refer to as high powered!!
|
One can only assume it was, however It would not suprise me if some bib could not handle 90hp!
|
One would hope it was an Evo of some sort - but why didn't the article say Evo X instead of Lancer? Maybe it was a 90bph Lancer after all.

>Two officers were found in the vehicle. One of the officers suffered minor injuries while
>the other was severely shaken.
I wouldn't have shaken him. He deserves a good slapping ;-)
