Aged 49.
Suicide was apparently the cause of death.

That's a bit shocking. RIP.

Clearly he was boasting then

My turn to display my ignorance. I've vaguely heard of Prodigy but not Mr Flint, and I couldn't have named any of their tunes.
Just had a look at Firestarter. I'd be hard put to whistle it.

The Prodigy were a big part of my youth, and I was genuinely saddened to hear this news. RIP.

Dreadful news, and still reeling from Pete Shelley's death a couple of months ago.
Shame there are none of these left:

I'd heard of the Prodigy (but not Mr Flint) - but not really my vibe. Seems he was a decent sort of bloke and was nice to James Blunt when other famous singers weren't, and of course a biker (proper one).

Seconded on both counts. I wore out my tape of The Prodigy Experience in my first car, I can still sing(?) along to all of it now.
I'm used to hearing 1960s or 1970s rock tracks being played on Radio 2 after the demise of their recording artiste, but hearing Out Of Space played for that reason at 5.10pm on Monday made me feel a little bit older.
