That caravan on the beach Mel Gibson's character has in Lethal Weapon
A castle in the Scottish Highlands
A log cabin in Canada
A brownstone in New York
A Winnebago with a trailie bike strapped on the back

I quite fancy a house in Nantwich, while the owners away.
Then.... Owner would have to leave me some spends, though.
A yacht in Lakka harbour.
An apartment in Bruges.
A yurt.
A Romany Vardy.
A closed station on a busy line.

Well I'm a few Km from there in Stockholm; currently grey, cold and wazzing it down! A very nice place to be under a clear blue sky though. Pity my current contract finishes soon :-/
The only place I can think of where I'd like to live is somehwere overlooking the Camel estuary, round Little Petherick way maybe. The sight of the blue river and almost white sand under an intense blue summer sky always lifts the soul.

An apartment in Riva on the northern tip of Lake Garda, Italy. Breathtaking scenery, lovely people and oh, the food!
An apartment in the Marina district of Barcelona. Sun, sea, and a wonderful atmosphere.
Moreton Bay in Queensland, Australia. Every image of sunkissed coastal Australian paradise that you read about in travel literature, made real.
Boston, Massachusetts. Loved the vibe of this place. American, with a heavy European (Irish) flavour. Just up the road from the beautiful Cape Cod, and the glorious New England countryside.
Tokyo, Japan. Unlike anywhere else on Earth. Ultra high tech mixed with strong traditions and values. There are no more welcoming, hospitable hosts than the Japanese anywhere that I've been to either.

I never want to live anywhere really however much I may like a place. Can't do better than where I was, or where I'm going to be (and am tonight, English paradise no kidding). There are a lot more than five places where I have been and would like to be again. A lot I haven't seen and would like to see.
I loved it for example in NW Tanzania in the banana belt. But a whole year? Do me a favour.

That's my dad's dream as well.
I would be lying if I said I couldn't see the attraction of it :-)
