I have seen a few of these bait boxes on Utube, the Americans are a bit more aggressive, a messy or smelly contents propelled by a small explosive charge seems to be their preferred choice, wait until the theif gets into their car or just a simple motion switch and POP! The police are also using bait boxes with GPS trackers.

I am surprised that the average USA prepper stops at 'a small explosive charge'. Sometime soon there will a big bang solution to solve the thieving habit.

Great device and ingenuity!

Over here of course the device maker would be charged as follows:

Criminal damage for the glitter ruining the thief's car seats, sofa at home, clothes etc.
ABH for the glitter caught in the thief's eye or up their nose.
Libel for suggesting the videoed person is a thief.
Data protection laws for uploading video without the thief's consent.
Data protection laws for GPS tracking.

The thief would get an all expenses paid rehabilitation holiday to somewhere sunny and the victim would lose their home in compensation claims and probably do 10 years at Her Majesty's pleasure!
