Had I been close enough I would have gone;

I hear that the younger players are now all fighting for a place in the team

A friend of mine said that he hadn't heard an enthusiastic crowd for an English international like the one today at Wembley in years.

When interviewed Southgate seems like a thoroughly decent bloke.

What a refreshing set of changes.

Though I notice that those who post comments on BBC articles are still full of bitterness and hate.

I was there with No 2 son and certainly the last 20 minutes were good from the crowd, pretty quiet before that though, the small croatian contingent were making more noise. Some good football for my first time at the ‘newish’ Wembley.

Yes I am enjoying watching England play football again. Wembley was pretty impressive but there are a huge number of what I assume are flats going up incredibly close to stadium and its surrounds. Gone is the space around what I remember of the old Wembley
