I think Denis Norden went on too long, but perhaps he enjoyed it and was topping up his grandchildren's inheritance package. He can't have been doing it because he needed the money!

Surely you don’t mean Frank Skinner. One of the funniest comedians around. His Saturday morning show and Podcast on Absolute radio are brilliant.
