Shame, such a waste of life. Mental health is not treated seriously enough imho.
There was an article on Radio 4 recently about an airman who stole a Hercules from an American base in the UK. It had a similar sad ending and rumours abound that he was shot down, including stories of 2 QAR Lightnings departing and one returning sans missiles.
