 Cuba 737 Crash - rtj70
A 737 has come down shortly after take-off in Cuba... Many likely to be dead. We've not had a crash of late - you'd hope they'd be very rare. I suppose they are fairly but you know what I mean.
 Cuba 737 Crash - Bromptonaut
Aircraft was leased from a Mexican carrier. Early reports suggested it was a 500 series Now seems to be firming up that it was an early model 737, a 200 series originally built for Japan's Okinawa based Southwest Airlines (now Japan Transocean Air).

According to the pprune website it was 39yo....not a major concern in itself, but maintenance could be.
Very sad state of affairs, as they all are
