The Yorkshire captain said "Ee lad t'were spitting wit rain so we thought it best to call t'match off, just in case, tha knows".

My eldest son is a cricket fanatic. He used to play a decent game which I always failed to understand as a continental.
He collects these cricket books which are printed once a year.The first book is from 1949.I will ask him what this is all about if Yorkshire men have gone soft.
