The man was a legend - the last of a kind. I somehow thought there would be more interest on here - fiddling in his shed, inventing things, fighting big business, driving an E Type and so on.

Yes he was a legend, alternately barking mad and impossible to deal with, to moments of absolute genius drive and market sense.
Like all genuine intelligent eccentrics I guess. Few of them left.
