Corrie was certainly more of a light hearted (comedic) soap opera in the 80s. I've not watched it in decades.

She wasn't acting in Corrie....but I won't speak ill of the dead !

Few of the stars of Coronation Street were great actors. Most basically played their own character. I guess that was what gave it its charm.

Sad that Liz Dawn who die of emphysema was another victim of heavy smoking once the norm for so many.

When I was a kid, all my aunties were like Vera Duckworth.

I was reminded from those clips that I have a job distinguishing between Jack Duckworth and John Prescott.
