Knowing the age profile of many of us on this forum I must point you all in the direction of this radio (fact based) play on R4 this afternoon. Excellent and thought provoking, particularly when so many of the issues can be seen as a little (too?) close to home.

Be warned that it is not just the usual 45 minutes - you need to listen to the conclusion discussion which is a stand alone 30 minute program.

Skipped the drama and just listened to the debate which was v interesting. I had professional involvement with various people who were instrumental in the Mental Capacity Act and the precursor report from the Law Commission so the view from the Medics side and how it changed was informative.

Well known case in this household, Bournewood is but a few miles from here, and a good friend of the family (now a community health care nurse) was based there.
