Police Scotland have been looking for a 64 yr old man for 4 weeks - including water patrols.

50 local people were out looking for him in fields & foreshore

@ 2.45pm yesterday the Police found his body - in his own house!

Police Scotland is an amalgamation of the regional police forces some 5 years ago.
It has been plagued by problems BUT this one looks to be the biggest own goal in 2017.

Could be an own goal but we're short of information.

Suppose he's a fit man but with mild dementia and a history of wandering. He's reported missing and police search his house, including all accessible places, calling his name etc but it seems deserted. Search moves to other sites consistent with his previous behaviour.

Turns out he went into a concealed part of his own loft or cellar and died either by his own hand or of natural causes.
