I've worn prescription glasses for a number of years purely for reading purposes ( weak right eye) and it's about time I bought some prescription sunglasses so that I can read in bright light overseas
I last had an eye test 12 months ago with Specsavers, and there was little change, and as I normally buy two pairs with the cheapest frames, I didn't bother.
Are the large chain opticians much of a muchness, or does anyone have any recommendations please?
Thanks in advance
I have an annual digital retinopathy hospital check as part of my diabetes monitoring, Specsavers have done a couple as well. With the price of their frames I don't know that the savers bit is accurate. I have not had any problems with buses. :-)
I have spent a bit of time at sea in bad weather, it would take more than a few steps to knock me over, drunk or sober, but I am not motorway womble shaped.. :-)
I used to get cold calls along the lines of "We understand you have been in an accident..." I reply "Oh yes, the one where I hit a bus with 46 schoolchildren on board?"
The cold calls seem to be suddenly reducing in number.
I've tried the large chains and found there's a much better service at local, independent opticians. Mine also happens to be an eye surgeon at my local hospital and Moorfields.
