 Brian Cant RIP - Bromptonaut
Another of the iconic presenters from BBC Children's TV on sixties/seventies has died:

He was the man who spoke the lines Pugh, Pugh, Barney McGrew, Cuthbert, Dibble, Grub for the Trumpton Fire Brigade's roll call.

Have fond memories of watching Playaway with my two. A great entertainer and a very amusing man.

Remember watching early editions of Play School through a blizzard of snow. Although we had a TV capable of receiving BBC2 we hadn't got the UHF aerial to see it properly.

Some Playschool presenters are able to look forward to a healthy retirement.
