Just back from Comic Con with No. 1 Daughter. An utterly brilliant, and quite silly, day.
I love this stuff, and fortunately so does she.

Are they over here now or was it one in the USA?
I only realised that they were a "thing" from The Big Bang Theory.
Are they as portrayed on TV?
Were there any stars there?

Its a "Continent" thing I think. So this was the South American one. There were "stars" according to my daughter, a couple she got really excited about.
I knew the name of one, no idea about the others. Certainly not mainstream television stars. But then this lot get as excited about producers and cameramen or artists as they do the person in front of the camera. My daughters talk about the latest video on Youtube in much the same way that my Grandmother used to talk about the happenings on Crossroads.
San Diego is still *the* one by quite a significant margin, but they are increasingly gaining impact in other territories.
And yes, *exactly* as they are portrayed on TV.

Reminds me of the film Galaxy Quest where followers of the TV show turned up at a conference wearing the same outfits as the show characters

I'm not overly aware of them, I assume they are a comic book fans convention? I'm not really into comic books so wouldn't hold much interest personally.
