I knew Steve many years ago when he and I lived in London. Both of us met our respective wife/partner through the same outdoor group.
Met him again a couple of years ago. Can be a bit abrupt but I don't think he deserves the coverage, which looks like a local paper article gone viral, never mind the thoughtless crap people post 'below the line'.
