"British-born astronaut Piers Sellers has died of pancreatic cancer, aged 61, Nasa has said."

I wasn't aware of the guy, but the Beeb's article provided the background. www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-38424071

However what really caught my attention was this article he wrote after being diagnosed with cancer.

Worrying really, for future generations...

The current thinking by the populace is that "experts" aren't to be trusted!

Politicians and climate change deniers have a vested interest to keep taxes low and profits up from coal etc. They appeal to a certain demographic.

They are playing dice with our future and they are playing dice with the present for those that live in the Maldives etc.

The climate has been changing for millions of years and will continue to change after humans are extinct. We are still recovering from the last ice age, I will not see the peak in temperature or the next ice age. It is pretentious to think you are going to change the cycle of climate change.

I use this company when holidaying in the Maldives, they are investing big money in increasing capacity and facilities for tourists. In fact to the point of spoiling it for those who knew it as it was be for the recent developments. They don't seem to be too worried.

Luckily it's not at all pretentious to think you know better than the experts.

Or are we privileged to have the world's foremost expert on climate change here on car4play?

Happy Christmas :-)

I don't have to be an "Expert", I am not looking for climate research funding. :-)

We don't have any power to change nature forces .We might tinker here and there but if it decides to turn on us it will.

Flooding in these regions of the planet will be the main danger and it might not be that far in the future.
