I don't like it much either but have no choice but to use it. All communication with my mates is now done via facebook as texting messaging is just what old folk do (probably anybody over the age of 27 - I am 27 btw).

Oh right, sorry, I'm used to getting flak for being on there. It seems Facebook is a bit "marmite", ie divides opinion quite sharply.

In answer to your original question FT, the point is... well I still don't really know! Just a method of sharing a more detailed profile I guess. If you're not already on there I couldn't recommend registering simply for the sake of joining the one group, however as a means of bringing yourself up to date on the activities of friends, family and long-lost acquaintances it beats Friends Reunited hands down. There are many safeguards which, when used with a little common sense, protect your information from wrongdoers too.
